What are the most beautiful and humbling words written in history? The veil was torn. In Matthew 27:50-51, right after Jesus took his last breath, a powerful force shook the earth that was so strong it split the rocks. Not little pebbles or rocks you could pick up, big boulders! In the churches in this time, there was the Holy Place in the church where anyone could come to worship and praise God and there was the Very Holy Place where church officials could go and make sacrifices and pray one on one with God. This place in the Church was hidden behind a curtain, so only the "special chosen people" could go and talk to God. Before the veil was torn, exposing the Very Holy Place, not everyone could pray to God. After Jesus made his sacrifice and life left his body, we were able to talk one on one with our God! This amazing gift was not for chosen specific people. God knows the choices you were going to make before you were made. He opened up the Very Holy Place so we could talk to him. The veil was torn for everyone, not specific people that we feel God thinks is more important. We are all valued!! You may not be able to do what famous Christian artists can do on the radio, but that doesn't make them any more special. God just gave you different gifts and has a different plan for you. If we were all singers and musical artists, who would spread the Word to the rest of the world? God loves you the same.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. God loves all of us. He made every single one of us. If he were to give up on us because of our sin, he would have given up on Adam and Eve a very long time ago. The Veil was torn just for you. You can accept this eternal love and happiness but it's all up to you. God has an unconditional love for the beautiful person he knows you are. He is waiting outside your door, all you have to do is let him in.
