If you have ever met someone that has really "suffered" for Christ, suffered doesn't seem like an appropriate word for some cases. Suffered is used as a negative term, but true suffering for the Lord is because it has a reward but not just for yourself. You can think about it in a way that seems selfish by saying, "I'm doing this so I can go to Heaven and see God."But the actual reason we are going through all this pain is so we make sure all of God's children hear about the great and powerful love he has for us and we can "repay" Jesus for his huge sacrifice he made for all the sinners in this world. We can never really repay Him for all He has done for us. It has been really remarkable coming back to God after a while. Knowing the fact that whatever I do He will still be there for me.
John 21:17 "...Jesus said, “Feed my sheep."" Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Jesus calls us to feed his sheep. This means we have to share the Gospel with all the people of the world. When we accept Christ, it doesn't mean that life will be easy for us. I wish it would be. There is nowhere in the Bible it says life will be smooth for us after we accept Jesus into our hearts. When we do invite Jesus in though, we have something we did not have before: a redefined hope. We have new hope to know that one day we will go to a place where sin and evil are gone for good. The Bible calls the Devil the ruler of the air. This is the Devil's realm but we have the advantage. The Holy Spirit can be with us in this world, but evil cannot come into Heaven. We were not made to hide our light God has given us to share. God has called each and every one of us to share his amazing grace with the blind, the broken, and the hopeless. There is new hope. Share it! Don't keep it inside. Don't sit back and say, "Someone else will save them." Use your gifts to reach people. It does not say in the Bible, "Act when you want to and only if you feel like it." Act now. If we keep procrastinating, our time may be up. Jesus may come back tomorrow or our stories may be over. God wants to say to every one of his children, "Well done good and faithful servant." He wants to welcome everyone of us into Heaven, but he can't come back until the whole world hears. So let's join together and shout so we can share the good news with everyone else. To save one last teenager, one last broken life, and everyone that feels they don't deserve this amazing gift of amazing, pain-free eternity.
